Mr. Hicks

asked the Minister of Transport if he will make a statement with regard to the continuation of funds, as provided by the Transport Act, 1968, as they affect the future of those lines in Cornwall now in receipt of grants, namely, the Plymouth-Liskeard-Penzance main line and the branch lines Plymouth-Gunnislake, Liskeard-Looe and Bodmin Road-Newquay.

I shall review the continuation of grant-aid for individual rail passenger services in Cornwall as the Railways Board apply for renewal.
