HC Deb 17 July 1970 vol 803 c290W
Mr. Kelley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity if he will give an estimate of the cost of the dispute between the airlines and the pilots on the question of navigating the Boeing 747; and what steps have been taken by his Department to bring this dispute to an end.

Mr. Bryan

B.O.A.C. advises me that the extent of the cost is not yet fully determinable but that it is expected to be somewhat below its original estimate of £50,000 per day. B.A.L.P.A. is at present considering proposals put forward by B.O.A.C. on 26th June.

My Department is continuing to keep in touch with developments.
