asked the Secretary of State for Wales what are his Department's plans regarding the future of Llanelly General Hospital.

The Welsh Hospital Board recently provided a nurse training school and residential accommodation for staff at Llanelly hospital. The board is not at present proceeding with any major building schemes nor has it yet notified me of its firm recommendations for the services to be provided at this hospital in the future.
