§ Mr. John D. Grantasked the Minister of Technology what representations he has had from the Trades Union Congress to prevent landlords overcharging their tenants for electricity; and if he will introduce legislation to deal with this matter.
§ Mr. Goldingasked the Minister of Technology whether he proposes to introduce legislation to enforce maximum prices for the resale of gas and electricity by landlords to tenants.
§ Sir J. EdenInterested organisations including the T.U.C. were consulted by the Ministry on 23rd February on a scheme with this objective in mind. The T.U.C.'s reply generally supported the scheme. I will consider what further steps to take when all the replies have been received.
