§ Mr. Juddasked the Minister of Transport whether he will make a statement on the recent negotiations between his Department and the Portsmouth City Council concerning pedestrian crossing facilities, particularly in the Northern Parade area.
§ Mr. Michael HeseltineThe Portsmouth City Council has received approval in the last few months for four Pelican crossings in the area just south of Northern Parade. The Council has asked for approval for the installation or resiting of a further number of Pelican crossings five of which are in the Northern Parade area. These are under consideration and I expect to send a reply within the next week or two.
