§ Mr. Gordon CampbellResponsibility for local home safety activities rests with local authorities. My Department gives an annual grant to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents to enable a full-time organiser to be employed to assist authorities in this work. The Health Education Unit of my Department also provides assistance as required and prepares and distributes informative material free of charge.
