§ Mr. Turtonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the comparative rate of growth over the last five years of Japan, West Germany, France and the United Kingdom and the proportion of the gross domestic product taken by the public sector in the same period in the said four countries from information available to him from international sources.

The figures for the United Kingdom take account of revisions to the published estimates made since the O.E.C.D. return was completed.
