Mr. Ellis

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications if he is aware that a large proportion of residents in the Wrexham constituency are unable to receive the B.B.C. Wales television service; and if he will take steps to rectify this situation.

The area is already quite well served. Either B.B.C. Wales or B.B.C. 1 or both can be received there if efficient sets and aerials are used. Eventually B.B.C. Wales will become available to Wrexham on U.H.F. and 625 line definition and in colour when transmissions start from Moel-y-Parc. It is too early to say when that will be.
