asked the President of the Board of Trade when the report of the Banks Committee on Patents will be published.

The Report of the Banks Committee to examine the Patent System and Patent Law is being published today. It is a very comprehensive document, and I should like to express my thanks to Mr. Banks and to the members of his committee for giving so much of their time to this inquiry. The Government will make a statement on the report when it has given the interested bodies the opportunity to comment on the committee's recommendations and has been able to consider them and any comments received.
