asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government when a decision is to be made regarding the application made to him by Liverpool City Council regarding the future of the flats at Gerrard Gardens, Liverpool, 3; and if he will make a statement.

I know that the city council has been considering converting the flats at Gerard Gardens into student accommodation, but there is no application before my right hon. Friend.

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations he has received from the Liverpool City Council regarding subsidies for a modernisation programme of pre-war tenement flats in Liverpool; what decision has been taken; and what amount of subsidies is available.

None. Improvement contributions will be available as usual on the scale provided by the Housing Act, 1969.
