HC Deb 14 July 1970 vol 803 c185W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister if he will ensure that Members of Parliament and the general public are not kept waiting for three months for replies to correspondence dealing with simple issues; and whether he will initiate a system whereby interim replies or progress reports are sent at monthly intervals if an acknowledgment or reply cannot be sent within a period of one month.

The Prime Minister

I would refer to my reply to a question by the hon. Member on 7th July.—[Vol. 803, c. 32.]
