HC Deb 13 July 1970 vol 803 c149W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications why the illegal Smith régime are allowed to send official mail with a neo-franked post-mark without surcharge to the recipient in this country, in view of the fact that pensioners receiving letters from children in Rhodesia are surcharged.

Mr. Chataway

As I told the House on 6th July, I am at present considering whether the surcharging of certain mail from Southern Rhodesia should continue. My review will cover all aspects of this question including the point raised by the hon. Member.—[Vol. 803, c. 316.]
