§ Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a White Paper outlining the Government's policy towards poverty; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. DeanThe Government have shown their concern about poverty by introducing as their first Measure, a Bill to give extra help to old people and widows, and the very seriously disabled. We are studying the special needs of other groups but we have no statement to make at this stage.
