asked the Minister of Technology what discussions he has had with the chairmen of the nationalised fuel industries collectively or singly about the risk of a shortage of fuel this winter.

Fuel prospects is one of the matters which my hon. Friend the Minister of State has discussed at his meetings with the chairmen.

We are in close touch with all the fuel industries about fuel supply prospects.
