HC Deb 13 July 1970 vol 803 cc139-40W
81. Mr. Driberg

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a table showing the number of fatal accidents in each of the last 10 years in which the aircraft of publicly-owned and of commercial airlines, respectively, have been involved and the number of persons killed and seriously injured in each accident.

Mr. Corfield

Yes. The following is the information:—

Mr. Noble

An undertaking was given on 28th January, 1970, to support the proposal for a National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham. Her Majesty's Government have reconsidered this undertaking in the light of the substantial progress made by Birmingham and of further representations made by the Greater London Council.

I have today informed the Greater London Council and the Birmingham authorities that we have decided to reaffirm the Government's support for the Birmingham project in the terms announced by my predecessor.
