HC Deb 09 July 1970 vol 803 cc91-2W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what is the pension entitlement of a whole-time consultant, appointed as a consultant not later than 1960, who was granted an A-plus distinction award in 1967: and what was the total of his superannuation contributions over the last five years of service, giving the figures year by year;

(2) what is the pension entitlement of a whole-time consultant appointed as a consultant not later than 1960 who had no distinction awards and who retired on 30th April, 1970; and what was the total of his superannuation contributions over the last five years of service, giving the figures year by year.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

It is not possible to give a general reply to these questions because the contributions paid by an individual consultant and his pension entitlement depend on the superannuation scheme of which he is a member and his total reckonable service in that scheme.
