§ 76. Mr. Dribergasked the Minister of State for Defence if he has received the report of the Donaldson Committee; when this report will be published; and if Her Majesty's Government will now allow an optional break, at about 18 years of age, to Service men who have undertaken, when 15 or 16 years old, to serve for 12 years.
§ Lord BalnielI expect that the Donaldson Committee will report to me in late September, and I shall thereafter report to the House. It would be wrong to anticipate any recommendations the Committee may make.
