Grantasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will state the number of applications before him from local authorities seeking to increase council house rents, the 76W average increase sought, the number approved since 9th June and the number rejected as unjustified under the powers inherited under existing legislation.
§ Mr. ChannonThree applications are before my right hon. Friend. The average increases sought are 5s. 6d., 5s. 10d. and 6s. 8d. a week. He has not approved or rejected any proposals since 19th June.
