§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make a statement on the recent appointment as from 1st July of the Chairman of the Forestry Commission at a salary of £5,000 per annum; why a salary of this amount is paid for 25W a part-time appointment; and how many hours work per week will have to be given to this appointment.
§ Mr. PriorThe new chairman was appointed on the advice of the previous Administration. His salary assumes that he will give about two days a week to the work and is based on those of other part-time public appointments.
