§ Mr. Dellasked the President of the Board of Trade what representations he has made to the Government of the United States of America regarding the official proposal to impose quotas on imports into the United States of America so far as it affects United Kingdom trade.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantUnder both the previous and the present Administrations the U.S. Government have been left in no doubt of the concern felt in this country over the moves to restrict U.S. imports under conditions incompatible with the accepted international rules. It is our strong hope that ways will be found of dealing with any real difficulties in a manner which will not undermine the system of liberal international trading.
