HC Deb 30 January 1970 vol 794 c421W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the number of former senior officials of the former Ministry of Health who, in each of the last five years, have left Government service to hold posts within the pharmaceutical industry.

Mr. Crossman

One senior officer, who retired in 1967, is a consultant to companies within the industry. I know of no others holding posts in the industry, and of none who left in order to take such posts, but my information is not necessarily complete, since the requirement to seek consent to related outside employment applies only to senior officers in the first two years of retirement.
