HC Deb 30 January 1970 vol 794 c412W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs to what extent private Members of Parliament are accorded preferential treatment from his Department's officers when on overseas visits unconnected with government.

Mr. Luard

The treatment given by officers of my Department to hon. Members on unofficial visits overseas, as to other distinguished British visitors, has to depend on all the circumstances of the visit in question.
