HC Deb 29 January 1970 vol 794 c403W
Mr. Crowder

asked the Minister of Transport what proportion of total 1968 goods traffic, excluding power station fuel, oil and quarry stone not handled by registered dockers, that passed through the Cornish ports named in appendix I subsection K to the Dock Workers Regulation of Employment (Amendment) Order 1967, is shipped through the three china clay ports of Fowey, Par and Charlestown.

Mr. Murray

Goods traffic for 1968 excluding fuels and quarry stone passing through the ports listed in Appendix I subsection K to the Dock Workers Regulation of Employment (Amendment) Order, 1967—with the exception of Penryn, Porthleven and Portreath for which no figures are readily available—amounted to 1.83 million tons. Of this 1.79 million tons or 97.9 per cent. was shipped through the ports of Fowey, Par and Charlestown.
