HC Deb 29 January 1970 vol 794 c377W
51. Mr. Hiley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity why her Department's clerical and commercial register has been moved from Eastgate to Bond Street, Leeds; and what is the cost of the new accommodation.

Mr. Dell

There was insufficient space in the Eastgate building and it was decided to move the Commercial Register together with the Professional and Executive Register and the Occupational Guidance Unit to other more centrally situated premises.

The premises are rented by the Ministry of Public Building and Works. We are advised that it is not the policy to disclose rents. The cost of making the premises ready for occupation was approximately £10,000.
