HC Deb 28 January 1970 vol 794 c355W
75. Earl of Dalkeith

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the original estimate submitted by Edinburgh Corporation of its requirements for school building for 1970–71 and 1971–72; and what are the final allocations by his Department for the same two periods, respectively.

Mr. Ross

Education authorities were not asked to submit estimates of their total school building requirements. Edinburgh education authority, however, proposed in October 1969 a programme totalling £1 million in 1970–71 and £2.2 million in 1971–72. Its allocation for the first part of the 1970–72 period is £1 million. Its allocation for the second part has not yet been determined.
