Mr. R. C. Mitchellasked the Minister of Transport whether he has yet set up the proposed high-level working party to prepare for the establishment of the National Ports Authority envisaged in the Bill.
§ Mr. MulleyI am setting up machinery on the lines I indicated on the Second Reading of the Bill, to bring together some people from inside the ports industry and some from outside to prepare the ground for the establishment of the National Ports Authority. From the ports industry the following have so far agreed to take part in this work:
- Sir Arthur Kirby, G.B.E., C.M.G.
- Sir Clifford Dove, C.B.E., E.R.D.
- Mr. J. P. Davidson.
- Mr. A. G. Robinson.
- Mr. D. A. Stringer.
