Mr. McCann

asked the Secretary of State for Local Government and Regional Planning whether he will make a further statement on the date of publication of the Government's White Paper on the Reorganisation of Local Government.

Mr. Crosland

I expect to present the White Paper to Parliament and publish it in about a week's time.
