HC Deb 28 January 1970 vol 794 c345W
61. Mr. Stratton Mills

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on congestion at London Airport.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

As with other modes of transport, the facilities at Heathrow tend to be congested at peak periods but, given the continuing investment in facilities there, I have no reason to suppose that a serious problem exists for the time being. It is the task of the Commission on the Third London Airport to advise on the location and timing of additional capacity in the longer term.
