HC Deb 28 January 1970 vol 794 c343W
51. Mr. Corfield

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make representations to the Government of the Netherlands in regard to the refund or revocation of traffic rights to British charter operators operating flights from the United Kingdom to the Netherlands under licences granted by the Air Transport Licensing Board.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

The only refusal of operating permission of which I know was for a proposed series of one-day shopping charter flights from the Netherlands to this country. We took this up with the Netherlands aeronautical authorities, which pursue a generally liberal policy on charters. They do not, however, permit inclusive tour charters from the Netherlands of less than seven days' duration if scheduled services are available, and have not felt able to alter their policy in this case.
