asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what was the result of her recent consultations with representatives of the Trades Union Congress and the Confederation of British Industry on the latest version of prices and incomes policy.

The Government decided their policy on productivity, prices and incomes after the end of 1969 as set out in the White Paper (Cmnd. 4237) in the light of the views expressed to my right hon. Friend by the T.U.C. and the C.B.I. The T.U.C. and C.B.I. have since publicised their views on the White Paper.
