HC Deb 27 January 1970 vol 794 c308W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of the growing tendency of narrow roads and streets to become virtually impassable due to two- and three-lane parking, and that this impedes the free flow of the public service vehicles such as those of fire, ambulance and police services; and what steps he intends taking during 1970 to alleviate this problem.

Mr. Bob Brown

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave him on 11th November, 1969. My right hon. Friend would take appropriate action if this situation arose on a trunk road.—[Vol. 791; c.57.]
