HC Deb 26 January 1970 vol 794 c276W
Mr. Mawby

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications how many people listen to the radio in daylight hours, and how many after dark.

Mr. Stonehouse

The B.B.C. estimates that 26 million people listen to radio at some time during the day. However, the B.B.C. estimates that the ratio of the average daily audience between 7.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. and the audience after 6.00 p.m. is about four to one.
