§ 81. Mr. Shinwellasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether negotiations between Her Majesty's Government and the ruling authority in Libya have now been completed; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. FoleyNegotiations with the new Libyan régime are still in progress. Agreement was reached on 13th December on the withdrawal of British forces from Libya. Withdrawal is to be completed by 31st March. Other aspects of our relationship with Libya are being covered in the current negotiations.
§ 85. Mr. Shinwellasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs the terms of the treaty between Her Majesty's Government and the Government of Libya before the present administration in that country assumed power.
