§ 66. Mr. Bishopasked the Minister of Technology what representations he has made under the prices and incomes policy to the Central Electricity Generating Board regarding its policy of reducing consumer costs which have been made possible by the concessionary price it pays for coal from the National Coal Board and which in its last year has made a loss.
Mr. Alan WilliamsNone. The commercial arrangements for the purchase of coal are a matter for the two boards but I understand that the Central Electricity Generating Board purchases its coal from the National Coal Board at the pithead (f.o.b. for seaborne coal) in accordance with the N.C.B.'s industrial coal price structure.
