HC Deb 26 January 1970 vol 794 c258W
94. Mr. Allason

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is now satisfied that dumping is taking place of Chinese rabbit carcases; and what action he is taking.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody

No. It is not the practice of the Board of Trade to investigate allegations of dumping until an application is received from the British producers affected with supportingprima facie evidence of material injury caused or threatened to them thereby. Board of Trade officials have explained the position to representatives of the industry. If and when an application is received, it will be given prompt and careful consideration.
