(2) how the estimate of total preferential assistance to development areas in 1964, given on page 6 of the publication, Progress Report No. 52, was made; and what was the free depreciation component.
§ Mr. VarleyTotal preferential assistance to development districts in 1964–65 is estimated at some £30 million of which £27 million represented assistance given under the Local Employment Acts and £3 million the value of free depreciation. Separate figures for individual development districts are not available.
