HC Deb 21 January 1970 vol 794 cc145-6W
55. Sir Clive Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what progress has been achieved in drawing up new plans to hasten the present brucellosis eradication scheme.

Mr. John Mackie

As my right hon. Friend announced on 10th December in reply to the hon. Member for North Angus and Mearns (Mr. Buchanan-Smith) and to the hon. and gallant Member for Lewes (Sir T. Beamish), our aim is to start limited eradication projects in specially selected areas in 1971. We hope shortly to commence preliminary discussions on these projects with interested organisations.—[Vol. 793, cols. 413–414.]
