HC Deb 21 January 1970 vol 794 c143W
Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what consideration he has given to setting up an army apprentice school in Northern Ireland; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Richard

The Army's training arrangements as a whole are kept under constant review. In view of the available resources and the low level of apprentice and other junior recruiting in Northern Ireland, the cost of setting up an apprentice college there would not be justified.
