§ 58. Mr. Hooleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether Her Majesty's Government will take an initiative within the organs of the United Nations in response to General Assembly Resolution 2565 asking for a link between special drawing rights and aid to developing countries.
Mr. TavernI am sure there will be further discussion of this idea within the U.N.C.T.A.D. and elsewhere, but I see no useful purpose to be served by Britain taking any special initiative at present.
