Mr. Barnettasked the Minister of Technology if he will appoint an independent committee to inquire into the 9W organisation of the textile industry subsequent upon the Imperial Chemical Industries bid for Viyella International Limited; and if he will ensure that no further mergers are allowed pending the report of such a committee.
