§ 7. Mr. Tudor Watkinsasked the Secretary of State for Wales when the Code of Guidance will be issued to local authorities in Wales in respect of grants for rural bus services; how many authorities have already applied for grants; and whether, in view of the fact that some bus companies in Mid-Wales are discontinuing their services because of the withdrawal of subsidies for those replacement buses allowed when rail services were discontinued, he will expedite the issuing of the Code.
§ Mrs. WhiteMy right hon. Friend hopes the code will be issued to Welsh local authorities within a few weeks. Two Welsh local authorities have applied for grants.
