Mr. Brooksasked the Minister of Technology whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the details of his discussions in recent months with those shipbuilding firms interested in the construction of a nuclear-powered merchant ship; and if he will evaluate the cost estimates contained in their submissions.
§ Dr. Ernest DaviesThe cost estimates produced by shipbuilders have been examined as part of our current study of the costs and benefits of a nuclear ship project. When the study has been completed and reported upon I shall be able to consider how best to make the results known to those interested.
