HC Deb 19 January 1970 vol 794 cc6-7W
55. Mr. J. H. Osborn

asked the Minister of Technology what projects will account for an increase in direct support for industrial technology estimated at £25.3 million in 1971–72 from an estimated out-turn of £15 million in 1968–69 as outlined in Command Paper No. 4234; and if he will tabulate details ill the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Alan Williams

In accordance with the Government's policy of giving selective technological support to industry, increasing provision is made for this support over the period covered by the Command Paper. Since many of the new projects involved still have to be identified and negotiated with industry, it is not possible to give details of those which will account for the planned increase.
