§ Sir R. Russellasked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications if he is aware that in some areas B.B.C.1 cannot be received without double vision consisting of a shadow on the right of each definable object on the screen, due to outside 69W interference, which does not occur on other programmes; and what is being done to remedy this defect.
§ Mr. StonehouseShadows on television screens are usually due to a signal reflected from a nearby structure being received in addition to the signal coming directly from the transmitter. The occurrence is not restricted to reception of B.B.C.1. If the hon. Member will let me have particulars of the case I will look into it.
