Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Attorney-General what action he has recently taken to improve productivity of those connected with the legal system, and to see that wage, salary, and fees increases are, as with industrial workers, based upon increased productivity, and with what success.

Solicitors' remuneration is the subject of continuous review by the National Board for Prices and Incomes. In their latest Report on Solicitors (No. 134) they conclude that the trend of incomes in the profession over recent years has not been out of keeping with the incomes policy.
