HC Deb 25 February 1970 vol 796 c361W
Mr. Orbach

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has received calling for the introduction of compulsory primary education in Hong Kong; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Luard

My right hon. Friend has not received any representations on this subject. It is of course, as the hon. Member knows, a matter of continuing interest in Hong Kong. On the general issue, I have nothing to add to the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for Brighouse and Spenborough (Mr. Colin Jackson) on 15th December, 1969. —[Vol. 793, c. 234.]
