asked the President of the Board of Trade what percentage of the gross national product is represented by external trade in the United States of America, the European Economic Community and the United Kingdom, respectively, from information available to him from international sources.

In 1968, exports represented 4 per cent. of the gross national product in the United States, 9½ per cent. in the European Economic Community and 14½ per cent. in the United Kingdom.
