asked the President of the Board of Trade what are the relative rates of growth in exports for the years 1958 to 1968 for the countries of the European Community and for the United Kingdom, from information available to him from international sources.

Mr. Mason

The average rates of growth were 5 per cent, a year for the United Kingdom, and for the Community as a whole 11 per cent. or 8 per cent. if intra-trade is excluded.
