HC Deb 25 February 1970 vol 796 c331W
65. Mr. Worsley

asked the President of the Board of Trade what investigations have been made into the air turbulence caused by Boeing 707s and similar aircraft on structures lying beneath the glide path.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

I am not aware of any adverse effects on structures from this cause and no such investigations have been carried out. Research both in this country and I understand in the United States has given no indication that there may be a problem in this area in respect of Boeings 707s and similar aircraft.
