HC Deb 24 February 1970 vol 796 cc289-90W
Mr. McNamara

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how much has been received by the City Council of Kingston upon Hull in Government housing subsidies yearly since 1963–64; and what is his estimate of the amount for the current year 1969–70 and for 1970–71.

Mr. Freeson

The housing subsidy payments made to the City Council of Kingston upon Hull in respect of housing provided by them under the Housing Acts have been as follows:

£
1963–64 390,427
1964–65 458,639
1965–66 520,699
1966–67 579,377
1967–68 712,473
1968–69 757,994
1969–70 910,738

The amount to be paid in 1970–71 will depend on the number of new dwellings completed, and the claims for 1967 Act subsidy submitted by the council during the year, and cannot be reliably estimated at this stage.
